you eat the heart yourself? I cut kidneys, lungs and heart into small pieces and cook them in a 5-6 l pot. At the end I add about 500 gram rice and let it cook for an additional 20 minutes.
I can make my teckle dance on 1 forelegg by only saying "roe with rice"...

I can only recommend to cook for your dog occasionally. He or she will appreciate it even more than some humans and you'll get always a very honnest reaction. Be carefull for your fingers the first time you give it.

I love slices of heart fried just like steak. My dad would cook us heart or sheeps brains when I was a young fella and we would be away at the farm together. the taste for fried heart has stayed with me. the tenderloins/eye steaks/ the bits by the kidneys heading towards the pelvis are by far the most mouth watering bits of steak to be found anywhere, fried and served on toast sliced white bread buttered with a little salt is just quite simply the best food of them all.

Looking at how my dogs eat it, I think it pleases them more than me. So "live and let live" or is it "love and let love"?
I try to live by the scales, so when my dogs please me I have to return a favour and please them. It helps the world keep on turning.

A very good philosophy Aloys.

Yep, stovey, this isn't California. This is how they serve breakfast prior to hunting season in Texas. The tables turn the first of October!
