Democrats in Missouri introduced startling anti-gun legislation that would require gun owners to hand over their legally purchased so-called “assault weapons” to “the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction” within 90 days.

Under the proposed bill, “Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution.”

Here are some additional provisions found in the gun control bill:

(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;

(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or

(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.

5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.

State Representatives Rory Ellinger (D-86) and Jill Schupp (D-88) introduced this House Bill 545, once again public servants furthering their own agenda rather than the people they serve. The people of Missouri need to let these 2 know they will be punished at the polls and then do it.

August 28, 2012

Section 15. Every senator or representative elect, before entering upon the duties of his office, shall take and subscribe the following oath or affirmation: "I do solemnly swear, or affirm, that I will support the Constitution of the United States and of the state of Missouri, and faithfully perform the duties of my office, and that I will not knowingly receive, directly or indirectly, any money or other valuable thing for the performance or nonperformance of any act or duty pertaining to my office, other than the compensation allowed by law." The oath shall be administered in the halls of the respective houses to the members thereof, by a judge of the supreme court or a circuit court, or after the organization by the presiding officer of either house, and shall be filed in the office of the secretary of state. Any senator or representative refusing to take said oath or affirmation shall be deemed to have vacated his office, and any member convicted of having violated his oath or affirmation shall be deemed guilty of perjury, and be forever disqualified from holding any office of trust or profit in this state.


Seems to me that someone needs to be removed from office. And not just in Missouri.

For a few minutes just now, I followed the good Rep. Ellinger on Twitter, and tweeted a couple of respectful comments to him.
I also saw that one of his followers tweeted that pro gun arguments had the smell of racism.

Hard to figure out how the liberal mind works. Somewhere in a liberal's past something short circuited upstairs. No normal person could reason the way that a liberal does.

Your "liberal" might have an odd number of digits, like from an industrial accident. I have a neighbor that has 3 instead of 4 fingers and a thumb and it looks perfectly natural. He thinks he's holding up 5 when he's actually holding up 4 and so if you use that for counting then.....you're a liberal, and half of 9 fingers could be 4....or 5, depends on where you look. Makes perfect sense if you're a libertard.
