The man only had some bruising (seat belt ) and 2 small cuts.

Car loss, 1.3 million dollars.

Waiting list for a new one, 2 years.

When can I drive Dad's car again?, Nuclear 1/2 life.

When will I not be grounded & see the light of day. Same day the polar ice caps melt.

Still alive....Priceless!!!!

"Only in California"

What happens to a Ferrari after hitting a telephone pole at 200+ mph....!???

Confused

Woah Shocked

I driven a few fast cars in my day, and even a few mid-engine.....If ya don't know or have never driven a mid-engine vehicle before chances are it will get away from you because of the significant power to weight distribution ratio. That picture is true in every aspect on what will/did happen....kid probably thought he could handle the power Sad

I bet it closed the road for a good 4+ hours too. Almost looks like the kid may have launched it off the hill by the skid marks.

That is why my son learned to drive in a 6 cylinder, manual transmission Jeep Cherokee. His first vehical was an 1983 Chevrolet Mini blaser. An under powered junker but the four wheel drive worked. I cut the rear seats out and cut off the roof just behind the front seats. This for all intent and purposes converted it to a pick up truck. The single passenger capacity reduced the number of possible collaborators significantly.

You know, if a kid got hold of a gun and nearly shot one of his buddies there would be hell to pay. Why is this any different. Access to a potentially deadly weapon.

He stole it...Hard to put in a gun safe. But when you have the keys to the garage and the ignition...Well...

Hmmmm, i seem to recall being maybe 9 or 10 driving my very first car.....Mustang SVO and soon after that, maybe being a teenager by then driving a 'Cuda Shocked .

Now though, speed is nice, but i like the raw brute power of a diesel Very Happy .

One i recently sold (which i miss dearly) was a F-350 that almost had 600hp and over 1000 ft lb torque (thanks Gale Banks for the ability and memories Wink ).

Sorry guys I wasn't making the point that it was bad to have such things. It is just teenagers sometime forget to think about what is ahead of them. This gets them and us into trouble.

The second part regarding the guns was to say that the news media would have made it national news that even we in SD. would have heard about if it involved a firearm.
