I’ve been looking for ideas on how to track which loads (factory or reloads) that shoot well in a particular gun. After searching the internet I have not found any software or apps to track this. Anyone have thought on this or how do you keep track on your reloads.

Yep...agree totally Gelan...PointBlank Ballistics is the ideal tool for keeping track of your loads and cartridge performance. Best of all tercc...it's free mate, and one of the best Ballistics programs out there.

A better way if you are prone to power outages is to put a whiteboard up behind the reloading bench. I'm looking around for one now in the rubbish collection piles in the streets.

Vince: Most craft stores have foam white boards pretty cheap. I saw quite a collection in our local Walmart the other day.
I use PointBlank, but also use an Excel spreadsheet tacked to the wall in my loading room. I enter firearm, bullet, powder primer, OAL, sighting info, chronograph data, conditions on date last tested, average group sizes and anything else I need. I hand-write changes and then update and print a new sheet periodically. Each old one goes into a binder for future reference.
At the range I use either my laptop or enter pertinent data in the Notes app on my phone.

Over here Bushy we have a hard rubbish collection twice a year.
You put your old chairs, couches etc on the curb and over the week it takes the council to collect it there seems to be a redistribution under the banner of ones mans trash is another mans treasure.
So your mental image of Vince head down, bum up in someones rubbish bin, while daunting (eye bleach required) isn't quite accurate.

Thankfully.

NO WAY I would be dumpster diving over here Bushy. From about this time of year through until maybe next May, most rubbish bins have somewhere in the vicinity of 3 million blowfly maggots in each one. Yuck Yuck

Hard rubbish collection time is when all the second hand dealers and scavengers do the rounds, ratting through everything for stuff they can sell at the weekend markets. A regular appearance at this time is 3 and 4 burner hooded propane BBQs...more often than not in good condition. People regularly throw out electronic equipment (TVs, old computers, printers etc) and there are guys who troll around and grab the internals to salvage what they can, and what isn't salvageable they strip and collect, then on-sell the PC boards etc to China for recovery of the gold and platinum contacts.

You can often pick up some old, but useful tools...tools you don't often see these days as well...at these markets, and they usually sell for next to nothing. I keep an eye out for old metal working files (not the Chinese rubbish) for making knives.

I should be able to find a whiteboard in the side of the road.

I keep an Excel file listing my guns with make, model, serial number, estimated value, accessories and a field for best loads. Keep a copy on a flash drive in case I need it for insurance, etc.

I keep all my pertinent firearm data in a book that stays with the loading bench.

I use PB, it is mostly for results and ballistics. My reloading record is in a 8x5 lined notebook. Some rainy day I am going to put all the info into a "Cloud" service so I can access and update from my phone or tablet. I would prefer to use one database, like PB but, since it is only PC based, it means having to enter data more than once. When Dallon, gets it to Android, I can enter results right on the firing line. I tried Strelok but I find its interface a bit confusing and it isn't a good recording application.

I use a notebook at the range and transfer the data to EXCEL spreadsheets after I get home. Works for me. All the best...
