Personally Goodyear/Dunlop can get stuffed, I wont be buying their product.
If the people on this site could email their national Goodyear website stating the same, perhaps the HR goon mentioned could be removed for damaging Goodyears reputation.

I don't believe this...that HR guy is out of control. Like most HR personnel, he has an inflated opinion of his position and authority. Assuming Arbitration finds in his favour, I sincerely hope David Waters takes legal action against Trent Hudson the Goodyear HR Consultant and David's immediate boss at the time Anil Singh (?sp).

The only downside to this is the woman shooter, Liz, really should have known better than to take the rifle with her and then remove it from her vehicle in a public place. She must bear a large part of the blame for this incident, although I also believe the Police over reacted. But then again, in this current time...

This needs to be promulgated to as many sporting shooters as possible in Australia so that they know what happened and the stance taken by Goodyear, or certainly their HR Consultant.

There is no way I will buy either Goodyear or Dunlop tyres for my vehicle, and I will make sure that my daughters don't either as they always ask my opinion on matters such as this!!!

I have had "dealings with h.r. people on various occasions,and all that I can say is that they need to be very carefull on how far that they believe that there control can be used!They are not lawyers or officers of the court so they can be dealt with like anyone else in the public.Some really need an attitude adjustment!Trouble is that I believe the companies have to have one of these bozos on the payroll nowadays to keep down the liabilities(insurance)from the companies and bosses in order to keep the lawsuits against the companies limited.

Well this bloke has caused a bit of a backlash, hope he enjoys the infamey, and its only getting bigger.

I allready had the first reaction saying they changed the order for winter-tyres, no more Goodyear...

My letter to Goodyear. Idiots.

"This is regarding the termination of a Goodyear employye name David Waters as told by Senator Leyonhjelm of Australia. David Waters, a champion shooter sacked by Goodyear for participating in shooting sports.

I have been a loyal Goodyear customer since 1970, no tires on my vehicles but Goodyear's, nor standard service work done by any other company than Goodyear.

Unless the above situation is rectified in favor of David, and apologies to all hunters, shooters, and people involved in shooting sports for this ignorant affront. If this is not done, I will conduct my business with another company. Think about who you market to, will your stockholders find your management favorable when you alienate a rather sizable portion of your market. I will be publishing this incident as well as my response on Face Book and all other social media sites I frequent. GOA, NRA, and several shooting and hunting sites."
