Should also mention SAAMI max is .745 for the 12 gauge therefor the Browning would still be considered a 12 gauge.

Who the hell knows what Mooseyberg considers their set up !!! wtf

hmmm rethink taken on board Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed
my rusky Bakails barrels are tighter than a tight thing and if you chop of 4" from muzzle on the full choke singles (been there done that) they still read 1/4-1/2 choke which is why they read over full as the degree of restriction is still the same as from a wider bore going to full.
and yes they do pattern plurry tightly with some loads.

I got caught up in the numbers, and fancy parts and shot guns stuff once.

Remembered what an old timer told me:

Shoot the on that fits ya best, and often. Pick a load the gun likes. Fixed over screw-in. The rest are variables, variables = missing.

He was right. That's why I carry this old thing now. Man it points, hits what I point at (incl clays) with a super slick action, fixed CYL choke, with #6 any-brand? Deadly @35y+.

IMO The biggest problem with screw chokes is they tend to be to short !!!

A longer taper would allow for a smoother transition of constriction. Thus better patterns.
