It’s getting a tad cold in New York this morning...it’s down to 45F (7C)...I might have to put a jumper or jacket on soon.

My time out in Long Island was fantastic. I met so many wonderful people, spent some time at the Freeport Police PBA Range with some awesome guys and visited a great gun shop...I could live here.

I’m in New York city for the next couple of days before training it up to Niagara Falls and Toronto Canada.

Sounds like your travels are going good Vince. I hope it stays that way for you!

It was 37 degrees here this morning.

I just pulled the card from my game camera, and we have pictures of "9" different bucks eating at the corn pile!

Vince, I was born and raised in NY State so I can say this. The taxes and government would beat you down in short order.

WOW...I couldn’t live in New York City...it’s total rat race. Too many people, too many cars and everybody is in a screaming hurry to go everywhere. Now out on Long Island is was the exact opposite...traffic is manageable, not an over abundance of people, some incredibly good food outlets and restaurants and a much more relaxed lifestyle. The cost of living is a bit of an unknown factor though.

Off to Niagara Falls tomorrow then Toronto.

WOW...seems the deer have finally started moving mate. It bodes well for your hunting this year. How long before your season opens?

Vince...They won't let you have guns in New York state. Come back to Missouri.

Is your wife reading these posts? I would sure like to thank her for letting you come to the states.

I spent 2 nights on Long Island for a job I had years ago. In my opinion, it was 2 nights too many. Told my boss when I got back that I would quit before I ever went back...

Vince has made it to Australia Forward, locally known as Dunchurch Ontario Canada. My dog Tootsie is very satisfied with all the attention Vince is lavishing upon her.Tomorrow we are off to the 22nd Norad Region 22 Wing Museum at North Bay Ontario. Then to The dragon and masks near Burkes Falls.

No mate, Tricia doesn’t have anything to do with computers...she is a real technophobe, but I’ll let her know mate.

Bushy, they have guns in NY mate, the are not just as “easy” with ownership etc as is cMissouri.

DS...cold weather is the best time to hunt deer. A day after I left Long Island NY, my mate bagged a 10 point deer from his tree stand with a bow. I just missed being there.

Arrived in Parry Sound from Toronto last night and caught up with our mate InTheDark. What a beautiful area in which he lives. Heaps of forest and really nice lakes and rivers with plenty of turkeys, geese and ducks. I have been assured that the deer are pretty prolific as well. Oh yeah, and I have another dog to spoil. Woo Hoo

Wow Vince, you really are getting around in the states, and it sounds like you are having a great time (despite a few minor misfortunes). Canada is one of those places I would like to take my wife to, so we can get into some trout, pike and salmon fly fishing. Maybe one day...

Enjoy your time there, as well as the rest of your time abroad...

inthedark...After you have been reading all these posts and you still let Vince near your dog? He ruins them and they are never the same after that.
