I went to the local gun show today, not expecting much. Fewer tables than normal. Ammo was EXPENSIVE! I bought 100 rounds of .22 LR (CCI Subsonic) for $18! Only reason I did it was because I really want to try it in a Ruger Precision Rimfire. Bricks of .22 ran from $35 to $80 for regular loads.
Prices on guns were all over. I saw Ruger PC Chargers for $600 to $850. I saw the same Magpul AR magazines for $13 to $33!
There were a couple of old revolvers that caught my eye. A nickeled S&W in .32 and a Webley in .50 cal (.500 Tranter?). I didn't buy but I can get back in tomorrow for free...

The last .22 LR I bought before this was $20/500. That may have been pre-COVID.

I'll stay with CCI Mimi-Mags of which I have an abundant supply.

I have some CCI Mini Mag ammo and it shoots pretty much to the same POA as the Winchester PowerPoint ammo and as I have a brick and a half of the Win PP I stick with that. Having said that, I agree totally…the CCI Mini Mag offering is great ammo.

Sounds like a very good idea mate, but I currently have a couple of bricks of the Remington SubSonic given to me by a mate whose rifle didn’t like it, so I’ll be right for SubSonic ammo for a wee while methinks…but I’ll keep my eye open for the blue PP SubSonics to give it a try.

Another gun show on 11 DEC 21. About the same. Prices ranged from reasonable to no-way-in-hell. I did see powder at $35/pound. I didn't see primer prices.
That little S&W .32 was still for sale, but my CCW is "expired" and the county hasn't given me the new one yet so I couldn't use it to purchase. In NC you have to have a current CCW or a "permit to purchase" for handguns. Maybe next time. I can still legally carry concealed though.
