As always there are/ will be a few stirrers,a few looney tunes and a few manipulative wealthy folk doing the agitating to make the issues so heated.if you took away social media trolls and ti foil hatters things would die down quickly. I'm not saying there aren't serious issues.but going to war against your fellow countrymen is very very unlikely to solve them at anything like an acceptable price. Just look to Ukraine right now to get an idea...that's putting families against each other and I'm stuffed if can see it ending well anytime soon.

We, both Americans and Canadians, can't vote in our best interest. Too paralyzed to make a choice beyond what we always done.
The likelihood of a revolution, of any type, in my opinion is somewhere close to 0%.
But that is enough politics for me.

Vince, it's hot here north of Toronto. How are things with you and the family? |
Gidday Ron…family is doing well thanks mate. My 96 year old Mother-In-Law recently spent a week in hospital with horrendous arthritic pain down one side of her body, it she is doing ok now. Tricia is run off her backside looking after her Mum and our youngest daughter has decided a three week holiday in Amsterdam and Germany is in order, so she has jetted off again. I’m surviving, although the cold weather we have here, and it’s bloody cold getting below 0°C in many places, is reaping havoc on my arthritis.

Hi Deb…how is life treating you? SWMBO (Tricia) is doing well thanks, although she’s run off her backside looking after her 96 year old Mum. The cold weather is getting to all three of us with a very cold snap bringing frost even to the tropics. Our 34 year old decided to “escape” to the warmer weather in Europe (Amsterdam and Germany) for three weeks…smart move. I’m surprised we haven’t had snow just South of us, but along with the cold weather has come a very dry period. Time to “moisten” things up a bit with a wee dram of Scotch methinks.

Dimitri makes a very good point as does Elvis. I have missed the sanity of the nut.

Well Vince, Christmas was okay with the kids. Both the kids were sick for 3 weeks up to Dec 25. I had them on boxing day but I was going down for the count. I made dinner for them and they were happy as clams. They wanted me to eat but that was not in the cards. They didn't know what a turkey neck was and I said that I was glad they didn't include my favorite part in the care package for Michelle. They asked what it was? I told them that it's the turkey's doodle, my favorite part of the bird. Colt was turning green, Alice right along with him. Colt is eye balling the bathroom door. I finally told them that it was the neck. Neither of them could look me in the face. I am about

Just normal life.
Kids keep me fairy busy when not at work. Music classes and tutoring. Plus trips to keep them busy out of the house.
The kids are excited about moose hunting, except I realized I've booked the trip a week early, so I can do small game hunting but moose isn't open until the day before we leave.
Saving some cash for a bug shelter and a folding picnic table so the kids will have a more comfortable time to do homework while spending 9 days in the bush.
My free time primarily goes into smoking cigars now. Too cold to do much else.
