Was fixing a flat tire on a dirt bike when I was a teenager. I fixed it put the tire back on and was adjusting the chain spinning the back tire and some how got my thumb caught in between the chain and the sprocket :help:, (that was moderetly painfull ) I didn't do that again.

Years ago I went to the hunting camp a day early and set up to wait for the rest of my party. Decided to go check out a canyon about 5 miles from camp. In the Northwest everything under the trees is damp and you never step on a downed alder tree as they can be down right slippery. Well I did and the resulting injury was a broken arm (large bone in the left forearm). What took me a half a day to get there took me the rest of the day and a night to get back (spent most of the night in a hollow stump) Got back into camp around 10:00 the next morning. Needless to say the hunting for that year was out.

At the farm where I used to work we were having an addition put on the barn. One of the workers was using a nail gun and nailed his foot to a piece of lumber. One of his buddies had to pull the nail to release him.

according to my friends I'm a walking accedent waiting to happen. 8 major breaks with about as many minor breaks on the right arm/wrist. But the stupidest break was walking into a hotel bathroom in nylons (ya that girl thing again) the maid had waxed the floor and I slide smacked my arm on the marble counter and broke it. Then had to fly home with it broken, I think that was around major break 5.
Other stupid thing was so not my fault. I was in auto shop in 10th grade. We had a rule about if you drop oil stop everything to clean it up so no one gets hurt. The teacher didn't clean up HIS oil spill. Hit the oil, slide across the shop floor and stopped when my head meet the parts washer and dented the thing. Had to take a semester final the next day.

Dumbest injury thats a tough one, if I start working on something I'll get hurt, one way or another, never really that serious though, I'm safety orianted when it comes to really dangerous/unsafe things.
Only broke bones once, that was my left wrist playing tackle ruby in grade 8 at lunch when it was a suspendable offence to do that, 2 idiots got tired of me knocking them to the ground, tackled me from the back and front, spinning me on the wet leaves that were on the field and sending me flying and idiot me put my left hand out to stop the fall so I wouldn't land on my head and it snapped. So I went to the office and told them I slipped on some leaves.

Id been riding my well broke and sort of lazy buckskin with spurs on, changed horses to my spirited Quarterhorse forgot asbout my spurs being on and punched him in the flanks. Rodeo City, no 8 seconds here. He ran towards a fence and he put the brakes on and I didn't. Rang my bell good, didn't know who I was or how I got there, big black and blue bruse on my tail bone. Hurt for a month. Freedyf

I shot a staple thru my thumb with an air stapler once. Had to pull it out with pliers. It hurt more coming out than going in, OW! Fish hooks in the lip are the same. Luckily it was just a small fly, still smarts some.

Was about 14 or so, camping in the edge of the Everglades with a couple of Florida State game wardens. Good sense was apparently absent that day.
I was hanging onto the jeep's trailer hitch, and they were dragging me through a shallow pond, which had a pine "stob" in it . Into the left chest: a couple of inches right, and it would have been all over.
As it was, I missed a couple weeks of school.
We were poor, and my parents parents couldn't afford a proper doctor. A a couple of miserable weeks, with the wound festering, then breaking open and draining. Finally recovered. Learned my lesson.
