Wncchester, I did notice that gas prices doubled after the Dems got control of Congress. I'm sure that benefitted somebody, somewhere... (Sarcasm just doesn't work when typed, does it!)

I agree on both accounts Bushmaster. It's important to me as well and that person yelling the anthem sucked cause that sure wasn't singing.

Interesting indeed.
I certainly was mistaken.
In terms of governance outcomes, I've noticed there is not much difference between voting Right or Left. Either way, the screw-ups go on.
Whichever political party is out of power loudly criticizes the governing party for doing or not doing X-Y-Z and vehemently state they'd do A-B-C instead.
When that same party gains a governing majority, they renege on their promises and the screw-ups/money wasting/lying goes on....and on. The losing party takes the opposing viewpoint, which sometimes leads them to take positions contrary to what they ran with. This appears to be true for both Canada and the USA. I don't know why we keep putting up with it.

Shocking indeed.
But then, I was born yesterday - so this is a revelation to me. ;-)

I was born about 100 years ago (or so it seems) and politicians still shock me.
I heard on the news that Hillary lent her campaign about 10 million dollars, in two episodes. Now, how in the hell can a Senator (drawing maybe a couple hundred thousand dollars a year, in as short of a time as Hillary has been a Senator) have that much money without being on the take. The American people are getting raped and they will still vote for that evil b**ch! All I can say, is you deserve what you get!

The American people have been getting raped for so long that most of them think it is love.
If the founding fathers could see what is happening today they would have all joined the ranks of the anti-federalists and we would have had less government than we have now for sure.
Anyone fed up yet?
don't answer that - you might be tagged as a terrorist and we would never hear from you again.
