I don't really know how I should take this one...should I laugh or get angry...you decide for yourself.

Whichever way you choose to go, this is the sort of thing that the Antis can make good use of against firearms owners.

This type of poke fun at can be and is funny, but is definitely not good for public relations.

i think this crap is totally uncalled for.we are having hard enough time keeping our second ammendment rights without some stupid SOB advertising shooying to kill like it's a everyday passion of all gun owners. my guns are used for sport shooting,ker-plinking and hunting.don't get me wrong,i would protect my family but i do not think this kind of advertisement is right. this is the most uncalled thing i've ever seen a company take pride in tryiong to fix. very upset right now

The Onion likes to joke about the real media.

This is just some "fun" at the whole "killer bullets" thing talked about in real media. As the Media loves to report when "Hollow Point" ammunition is used as being so much more of a "killer" then what ever the media thinks is "normal" ammunition. Kind of like the whole "Cop killer ammo" phrase the media loved to use in the 90's.

Yea I follow Onion articles alot as well, and most of their stuff while seeming to parody one thing, really pokes fun somewhere else. In this case I also thought it was more making fun of the hysteria of ammo than the ammo itself.

Gidday Mike...the transcript above is exactly as I received it. Changing the word RECOIL to RECALL might well alter the whole "message" they are sending mate.

What I am unsure of are folks who are not well versed in firearms, and bulllets might interpret it.

I have mixed emotions, but generally found it offensive.

I am with youl lesterg! If this was just among gun people I could see the humor in it. In the general public it is a big problem as too many anitis will misinterpret.

Stop and think for one moment someone trying to use footage from The Onion News Network to further their agenda!!! Regardless of the subject matter that has been chosen.

Taking a skit from Saturday Night Live and using Mr. Bill as your spokes person would probably net the same results.

I don’t think there’s a person here that finds anything funny about any attempt to destroy our sport, hobby, life style or most importantly our 2nd amendment rights.
That is not what this is about!!!
