I doubt if I'd be sane if it weren't for my Dad .He's the hardest worker I ever saw .54 ,had melanoma this summer ,and he's learning how to operate our new Massey-Ferguson.

I miss mine much too..
even though we never seems to be able to talk eye to eye,
he was a good father who provide for me when I grow up.
He got me into outdoor activities.. not that he ever gone camping or hunting with me,
but because I was trying to get away from him and his wrath
Oh well he was a good man, only I am too dumb to appreciate him while he was around..
Miss you dad..

this is going to be onlythe second time I'm not with my dad on father's day. First time I called in the middle of thunder storm in Texas from my cell phone while standing on the porch. This time I'll have to call from South Korea.
I'm a daddies girl all the way, and mine taught me how to be a lady (ok he tried) and how to be as hard as the boys and take care of myself.
Happy Father's Day to all the dad's or the ones that act like dad's, they rock too.

yeah ,it's sad but this is the second year without my dad too. he was a strict caring man, busted my ass several times and made me like it . hahaha.. being hat he was a school teacher,he always knew when i got in trouble at school and if i got a spankin' there i'd get one that evening at home too.. he worked me in the garden,in the yard and all arround ,but he did take me fishin' a lot.. damn i miss him .. alway's hug yer dads and tell them you love them no matter how mad you get at them for not lettin' you have yer way. one day you will wish you could hug him again or wish he could bust yer ass again.

Magnificent words Gelan...and something I think each and every one of us is guilty of...I know I certainly am.
Happy Fathers' Day to all the Dads out there.
Cheers, Vince

Back at you.
My wife heard this morning that Father's Day has the highest number of collect calls of the year. Sounds about right.

Just returned from a Catholic Faith Camp with our Twins, in the Northern Minnesota woods.
Celebrated Hope and Zach's 13th Birthday at the camp.
Came home yesterday, to find a new 40" High Def. TV that the Wife got me for our 22nd Anniversary, and then we headed to St. Paul for a first class dinner, and to see Singing in the Rain at the Ordway Theater.
I managed to get two seats for us only four rows from the stage.
End of a great week.

I called last night, his Sunday morning, and again this morning on my way to work. He said it was the best gift yet, getting to hear from me since I'm so far away.
And I agree we are all guilty of at times not aprec. our dad's but looking back some of the "bad" times are what taught us the most and have made us who we are.

Hope that you spend time with them, while they are here. My Dad died 24 years ago and I miss him as much today, as I did 24 years ago. Spend all of the time with both your parents, that you can.
