Ya see that black smoke on the horizon....that's the beer truck runnin' at top speed fer the BBQ.
Getting back on topic...didn't we have a thread on plated boolits a little while back? Will have to have a look for it.
Ahhh, here we go:
www.huntingnut.com/ind...ed+bullets
I've never used plated boolits other than the .22 rimfire items, so they are a bit of an unknown quantity to me.

Copper plated bullets are being touted for blackpowder now and seem to be dong nicely. I have used the Hornady FBP, which is a take off on the CW minie ball. Accuracy is good and it is usable on heavy game at 350 grains.

I use Rainier 300gr FP's in my Knight MK85. have for several years now with no problems. I use 110gr FF Goex BP and Knights green High Pressure Sabot's and have taken 3 deer with them. 2 were complete pass throughs, 1 was real close range and broke shoulder onside, and flattened on the offside scapula, It was HUGE when I found it.
Also have taken deer with the same bullet from my Desert Eagle 44mag with no failures in the bullets behavior.

I haven't found a Rainier bullets with a cantilever. With out it I am a little nervous about the bullets coming out of crimp with the recoil from that BFR. I'm not to excited to deal with that.

Sorry 'bout that...I tend to be a bit of a stickler with proper nominclature. And I expect others to correct me if I'm wrong...
Chambered...You don't seem to be lost anymore. What happened? Did a 5 year old find you and show you the way home?
