Has anyone used both the Nosler Ballistic Tips and the Sierra Blitz-Kings in .243 diameter ???

I have been using the 70 gr. B-Tip in my 6mm Remington ever since they came on the market. For some reason I feel the need to switch to the 70 gr. Blitz-King.
I’m looking for any comparison info between the two bullets.

I haven't tried them, therefore I prolly shouldn't comment on them. I have tried the 55 grain BT's in my .243 and couldn't find an acceptable load, even though the factory 55 gr. Ballistic Silvertips group nicely (Winchester Supreme SBST243).

I've been playing with V-Max, haven't tried the others.

Don’t give up on those 55gr B-Tips !!! They will shoot!!!

This is five from my 6mm Remington at 100 yards, with an average of 4138fps.

Now that's a nice group. Do you use a bi pod, sled,or bags? I used to be able to do that on a bag but I'm not so steady any more.

Thanks !!! I used one big sand bag with a channel and a rear bag.

The bag is something new I’m trying. I don’t know if I’m going to keep it or not. If I do I need to build an adjustable platform for it to raise it off the bench about 4-6 inches.

I don't know Chambered. Looks to me like you missed that little orange dot down there below the holes. Very Happy

My old Remington would group them like that too. Just...not while I was shooting it. Sad

I'll get back to you on the Blitz-Kings. I plan to try them on a coyote hunt on an upcoming trip to North Dakota.

The last time I played w\stuff for my own curiousity in a .243 dia. it was a 75 sierra and a 90g nos b.t. in the 6-284. other then that I use plain vanilla loads cause that is what people ask for.

In my 6MM Remington, I've pretty much settled into using the 75gr. v-max for varmints and 100 gr. Prohunters for deer. Both work very well in my rifle for their intended purposes. Gotta love the 6MM. Smile

That's exactly what I do in most 6's , however the one based on the .284 case has a 1-12 barrel. if I ever do it again I'll get a 1-8 or 9 for the heavy's.
