Actually I was moving pretty fast and steady not exactly quiet. They didn't break until I stopped.

Day 12:
The suspense is really killing me!!!
Looks like track soup for supper tonight. They really moved last night and this morning. It looks like they are starting to yard up. I can't believe the amount of tracks tonight. About 2 inches or fresh snow and high winds tonight. It was -2* when I got in the truck to come home, the radio said- 27* wind chill. I know it hurts like hell to have a piece of brush slap ya in the face or on the ear.
It seems like the latter half of the season is usually better as they start to yard up and move in larger groups.

this is just getting the body ready for ice fishing. Insulated Carharts are worth their weight in gold this time of year.

Day 13:
Deer in woods: 2
Deer on the road: 8
The suspense is no longer killing me as my season is over. I have Guards this weekend. The only hope is if we get let go early on Sunday.
I got to see two tonight but as I was getting ready for the shot my son came walking up. Bye Bye cute little deer. If he would have given me 30 seconds more I could have squeezed off the shot. I tried to head them off by circling them but they wouldn't let me. Oh well it wasn't meant to be.
I can't blame the kid for getting cold it was -2* with a strong wind. I had a pretty good snotsicle on the ol cookie duster.

Day 15:
Sat in meetings all day and all I could do in think I should be hunting.
I'm gonna have to try and get home early tomorrow to give it one last try.
This work and Guard crap has to give it is interrupting my hunting.
I just can't end my season without actually firing a shot.
