Since I got some of the Ho-Ho-Hollow point .458 cal pellets from my mate, I always aspire to cast my own.

So, last year there is a group buy at CastBoolits.com group for these extra heavy mold, I jump and ordered one.

The mold I ordered is a .460 diameter, 500 grains (wheel weight), RG2 Hollow points,
one cavity with gas check (in case I need it for T-rex hunt invitation),
and the other with plain base (I am too lazy to gas check every projectile).

Here it is.. My Christmas present came early..

Gday guys, I am shooting a H&R Buffalo Classic.

The mold is custom made by NOE.

Looks great Gelan. Be interested to see how they cast up mate. Is the mould made of alloy or is it "still shiny" steel?

Cheers, Vince

With that curved butt plate, it sure is going to hurt!

Vince, the mold is made from 2021 Aluminum Alloy if I am not wrong..
I have another NOE mold, same caliber but at 330gn which usually I shoot at about 1900 fps.
and another one, a copy of Lyman 312284 with Hollow point for my Whisper.
NOE made GREAT mold and I must say I am glad I shell out the $$ for them.

Slim,
Ok My BC has been "modified" to suit me.

I cut the stock a tad shorted and made a leather sleeve to cover double thong thickness sissy pads.
Hardly feel the recoil IF I push the older 480 gn Ho-Ho-Hollow point to 1400 fps.
I reckon 20 grains more would not make much difference to me, but to the target.. ah..

here this.. you saw it already.. its on my avatar!!
