Methinks its time for someone...many "someones"... to step up to the line and put a stop to these illegal border incursions. Sounds like a good opportunity for the US Military to set up a number of "training facilities" along the border and have soldiers patrolling the border using all of the technology at their disposal to put a stop to the illegals.

I was always taught in the Army that the ideal odds are 3:1 in your favour...this is what needs to be done on the US/Mexico border...and with LETHAL force as the ONLY option for the Border Patrol Agents.

I know that I would be taking legal action against the person that signed off on the non-lethal force ruling.

RIP Agent Brian Terry...may you be the last to pay the ultimate sacrifice needlessly.

I have lots of friends and family that live in and around Tucson and gang violence has been a way of life in that area for decades. It's mostly been mofia and biker gangs protecting their drug trafficking interests from each other. Team this up with the illegals from Mexico and you have a nasty situation only getting worse from the standpoint of law enforcement. I'm glad I don't live there anymore, it's only going to get worse.

There is only one answer to this problem...only one way to solve it...move the military in and treat ALL incursions...drug runners, illegals, ANYONE who is not a US citizen...as an invasion by an enemy of the country.

As I said higher up...put a series of training camps on the border and have the military patrolling.

Paintball markers also give the officers the ability to deliver CS or CN gas/liquid along with a UV/IR tag for identification by Mexican/US LEOs.
I'd be damned if I would be giving up my sidearm though.

If the first line of defense is border patrol officers with paint ball markers and the second line was the citizens taking out all marked targets then I can see it working......
I don't want the military involved in battles that can be handled in other ways.
I can see the signs now....

the shooting of any marked targets is an act of patriotism and may cause a better nation.

WOW...sounds like someone somewhere is either totally incompetent, getting kickbacks and palm greasing or all three.

I stand by my original suggestion...make it physically impossible for anyone to cross the border at other than a properly authorised and controlled crossing point, and if this means the military takes control and uses whatever resources it has at its disposal, then so be it.
