Yepper- been REAL busy of late. 20 days w/o my rig. Just got it back, took it home, installed a "trunk" so my cab gets a rest from my gear, rolled in a Herculiner- oh so very much fun (not) but cool! Still need bed rail caps- rails are kinda rough and told them not to paint the bed or rails for obvious reasons...1996 F-250 XLT. Never seen one just like this. Had it since new. Pas/side/front bed got obliterated by my tree hugger neighbor, really punched it in with her Prius...stupid hippies. Anyways, others wanted to chop up my pal and toss son a bone-yard skin on the quarter panel. Not. My spot pounded it all out straight- the old fashioned way- can't even tell it was hit- no bondo. The externals were super rough- 15 years of desert and mountain adventures and a LOT of dirt roads. Never had an issue- ever, and I owed it my bestst buddy to fix him up. Interior is an 8.5/10 too...kept covers on the seats. This thing was fragged....dull, scratched, a mess. Even the lenses were clouded. The body was stripped and decked- handles etc, all off, buffed and slapped back on. Now? It turns heads like you would not believe. OH yeh....

So- this is what I've been up to lately...

What's haulin' yer hides?

Nice rig Stovey...only thing I can see wrong is its a FORD mate. Out here, the Holden (GM) drivers refer to them a Fix Or Repair Daily or Found On Rubbish Dump. Seriously though mate...it looks like they did a brilliant job on the repairs. What's under the hood.

My ride...see below. Needs a paint job...starting to look a little ragged, but it does have a rumble seat so I can cart the missus around. The yellow wheels are also starting to look a bit ordinary, might have to invest in some alloys down the track. In the background is my other vehicle...a '94 Volvo 960.

Cheers, Vince

No coldie holder mate...never drink and drive.

$2.05 a litre...damn...and I thought we had it bad at $1.50 a lite...although in my case, I use 95 octane (PULP) and that is an extra 9c a litre. Cost me approximately $146 to fill my tank from empty.

Cheers, Vince

Here's my huntin' nut hauler! You should see the look I get at the processors when I open the passenger door and pull a body bag out of the front seat with a deer in it. Just enough room in the trunk for just my guns. BTW, this is a Pontiac GTO that was imported from Down Under. There its a Holden Monaro GTO. The Aussies sure know how to make a great car!

But it is a Volvo, so that tank must last you a month and a half. Smile

Depends how I drive mate...around town I get about 10 litres per 100 km (28 mpg) and on the open road I get around 7 litres per 100 km (34 mpg).

Even so mate...it is surprising how quick those km or miles come up. Then ya gots ta find the dollars to refill.
