So far this season is off to a good start. I had to work opening day last weekend but we are making up for it as we go. We had a good hatch up here in Minnesota this year. We are at 20 birds for the year and are still missing way more birds than we should. I just wish I could hunt for five days and work for two.

You would get bored hunting for five days straight buddy. Laughing

I don't think I would get bored but I am pretty sure my body wouldn't have enough time to recover. It's about a mile paddle in to where I hunt and a lot ofthe creek is thick weed and choked. Not that I am complaining, being that hard to get to also keeps 90% of the hunters out. Then number of birds and lack of hunters make it worth the work getting in there.

wiersy111, you couldn't hunt 5 days a week, you would run out of ammunition! They say only 3 doves are taken for every box of 25 shotshells. I been doing good with a dozen birds per box. I'd do better if I didn't take those hail-Mary shots at those zoom by high overhead.

50/50 is a good percentage, I'm probabaly below 20% on ducks. It gets interesting when the really fast ones come through.
