#1: New powders?? Author: SingleShotLover, Location: IllinoisPosted: Sat Nov 08, 2014 7:17 am ---- I've been noticing all the articles about the newest powders. Every manufacturer has something newer and "better" than anything out there right now. The only problem is that there isn't anything out there! Oh, you might find an occasional pound or two of some of the old stand-byes, but rarely. Doesn't it seem that the logical thing to do would be to put all that time and energy into pouring powder back into the market rather than working on and promoting new powders that we probably can't find either?

I've been able to pick up 3 of the four. I just stop in the shops every time I go by and I've caught 1 to 3 pounds on the shelves. Of course I buy it all when I see it. I've been most impressed with CFE.
#6: Re: New powders?? Author: SingleShotLover, Location: IllinoisPosted: Sun Nov 09, 2014 7:44 am ---- CFE223 is impossible to find here. I've had backorders for 8# for 6 months or more. 2400 I can only find now and then and most of the IMR and Hogdon equivalent powders are spotty at best. Thankfully I have a good supply of AA 2700, 2200, Bullseye, H322, IMR 4064 and enough 2400 to last me for a while at least. I just have to shake my head when I see those empty shelves while everyone is touting new powders when there is a scarcity of the mainstay ones.
I agree on the CFE223. It is my go-to powder for my .17 Remingtons and 22/250 and combines top velocity with accuracy. I don't want to run out.

#8: Re: New powders?? Author: chambered221, Location: Lost for good !!!Posted: Fri Nov 14, 2014 7:17 pm ---- Was recently in a store that had a large supply of powders !!!
Asked about some of the more sought after stuff and was told they can get it but it don't last long.
