My two buddies and I had a semi-formal revolver and lever gun day. We had over 15 firearms! Puma 44m lever in stainless with a super short tube (sweet shooter), another Italian version of same but in case-harden and 45-70 Govt, a Henry 1863 Original 44-40, held 13 shots!, plus a gaggle of revolvers of all sorts including a slick cylinder conversion from percussion to 45LC.

Some of my pic did not come out. Apologies. But we burned down MANY hundreds of rounds.

My buddies were anxious to try Thumper, but I said naw, left him at home...I lied...after it was all done I snuck him out from behind the seat in the truck, burned up two boxes in a hurry...BIG smiles all round, and, one dead target frame...(wasn't me!)

Weeeee! Very Happy

Old Yeller! Man this was a cool rifle.

45-70 Govt. This thing rocked the gongs pretty badly at 50y. Big boom, big PANG! Excellent action.

OK- you all probably remember "BOOMER", everyone's favorite Super Blackhawk! Been a while, right?

D&T Custom did him up for me. Remember Deer Sniper? That guy! He brought me in here.

I just couldn't get around that Hogue mono-grip. I had installed it on there before I sent it to David. So I put the rosewood stocks back on. Man, WAY better for me...that excellent gun just got a little better!

No matter what or where, when you open the case, people stop and look at this thing. He's still boomin' and killing crap (eggs, paint cans, soda cans, water bottles, name it) past 100y with ease. Razz

.....And everyone just loves to shoot it. Here's the Professor- full gear sans the hat....Snubby Bearcat with birds-head grip on the left leg, Uberti 45LC conversion on the right leg, smaking the gong with Boomer OFF-HAND no less...he's 6'4" so that guns fits him. If I hold it out like that I tip over frontwards! Very Happy

OK- the target frame....well, Thumper snagged the cross-bar, pulled it out of the threaded elbow (how, w/o damage???) and piled it all up in a heap!

IT was AWESOME!

Meh- only a buck or two for a new gas pipe. Easy-peasy. Like I said, these gongs take a beat down...wow....and just hold up like its nothing. This was the 12". The 8" with a 10# drag chain was getting just KILLED by the big bores- but it came out just fine. No damages.

Super fun day between storms....started snowing a few minutes ago.

Weeeee!

SO happy now.

Rejoice in every spent primer and snow flake between me and Gov. Obammy!

BTW- zero issues with my Wulf reloads. Two boxes of same, in n out, just like that. Had a contest- keep the gong ringing the longest with the Thumper and win lunch! I could do two dings in a row. Hahaha....after that it was walking backwards leaning into the Wulf making giant holes in the cliff side.

stovey, glad you are having a "blast". I was a bit disappointed, though. When I saw the title, I thought you might be shooting some old rolling blocks.
