Vince, you missed Westmalle? They have double (dark) and triple. You can also mix them 50/50. Westmalle is my standard: when it's more expensive then Westmalle it should be better... don't know how many different beers we have here in Belgium, might be close to 1000, but it's rare I discover one that meets all my standard demands...
but Affligem, La Trappe, Chimay, St.-Bernardus, West-Vleteren (the best (?) but far too expensive), ... will score OK on taste and everything... EXCEPT on price

WHOA Scratch Scratch …they must be extremely good beers mate. The Trappist Westvleteren 12 (dark) (10.2 vol.% Alc.) (€52,00) is a little expensive. The price of €52 computes out to AUD$89 and US$59 for 24 bottles, which is AUD$3.70 and US$2.45 a bottle…quite reasonable for a beer, especially a good beer.

Trappist Westvleteren beer

I like this idea, “The sale of the beer is not for commercial purposes and is available only to individuals who have registered in advance.” This stops a middle man adding a large profit for him. Strange that you can only pick up at certain times, and have to provide the registration number of the vehicle you will be driving. I assume this is to stop businesses from “stocking up” and reselling at inflated prices?

Vince, they are monks, just producing what's needed and not trying to expand or to make big money. When they need a new roof, they will produce more trappist till they have money for the roof... life can be easy when you really want it to be that way...
