No I am not talking about my four footed hunting buddies.
unfortunately I cant do subtle and kumbaya isnt on my playlist, when speaking I will often drop the F bomb....so will try to say this semi politely, but stuff it all it needs to be said.
Lost another mate this week ,not sure of the details but the black dog had foot on throat and he took his own life.... we see it far too often and it sucks.
If shite is getting to you, find someone to talk to about it,and if they dont do it for you find someone else and keep talking
if the shite is getting on top of you, for the love of God, scream out for help and keep screaming till you get it....I dont care what time of day or night it is,get a hold of someone and just keep talking till youve kicked that black dog into touch.
spoke to a couple of my workmates today..and buggamesideways one of them had cut his workmate down and the others wife has lost a daughter to it too,the third fella has dealt with aftermath as a first responder.....
just reach out and talk folks
we with firearms have to be cautious about how we do things but putting them in mates safe for a month or so is not a bad idea at all...if nothing else it shows authorities your being proactive..and if mate asks to poke some in your cabinet...go help them bring them over..... same deal with marraige breakups....
take care folks, you might be smelly n ugly with warts n allsorts but you are like family, so matter to me.

I'm sorry for your and his families loss.

We, generally, know the symptoms but fail to see them with family and friends.

AMEN Elvis. I have told my ex Army mates that if they need to talk, it matters not what time of day or night it is…CALL.

That mongrel Black Dog comes growling at me sometimes, but over time I have learnt how to kick him in the stones and get rid of him for a time. When you call for help, you have completed the first and most important step…admitting to yourself that you have a problem and need help. The rest is up to Medical Professionals and/or your mates.

I don't know if you all have heard the song by the late Toby Keith ' Don't Let the old Man In' but it seems to be fitting. I have spoken with quite a few mates on Disgruntled .com and there are still the 22 a day that seem to slip through and end it. In the last month there have been two RCMP members who have taken that path. sad .

That mongrel black dog has been barking out the front of my place for a few weeks now.

I have a brother about 1100 km south of me with cancer, and if that isn’t concern enough we have another brother who, putting it mildly, is a narcissistic sociopath, a moron who gets off on blowing his own trumpet and creating problems for the rest of us. Someone suggested to me that fratricide is a solution to this problem, but that’s not something that is even remotely acceptable to me…although they reckon some people are still alive simply because it’s illegal to end them!

The stress and anguish he causes is really stirring up my PTSD, to the point of my forgetting important things like today being my 49th Wedding Anniversary. I haven’t even bought my wife a card or flowers…yet. I’ll correct that this morning after I drop my wife at the hospital to see her 97 yr old mum.

Congrats on the 49th Vince, hoping everything else sorts itself out

On a lighter note going on a bike ride on the 14th passing your way
If you have a helmet I can pick you up on the way
Starting at Samford Valley and going to Toogoolawah for lunch

Thanks for the congrats mate.

A bike ride…is that a push bike (sit down and run) along the old rail line or a motorcycle over Mount Glorious?

I actually have a couple of pushbikes, but no longer ride them, and I have two dirt motorcycles (Bultacos - neither registered) and a Chinese quad bike (made from that Asian steel - Chinesium).

Two hours there two hours back, the return is over Mt Glorious
Only ride things with motors, never seen the sense of a push bike

My first bike was a Bultaco , went a lot of places on that
Two stroke, two stroke bring back my two stroke to me to me to me
Gee old songs we once sang

Its a newer T120 Bonneville so will handle two OK

Bultaco...Made in Mexico. Or at least it was when I was a kid (some 60 years ago).
