#1: And just like that, summer is over Author: DallanC, Location: UtahPosted: Tue Sep 17, 2024 1:44 pm ---- We had a big rainstorm come through with some healthy drops in what has been a record breaking hot summer heatwave, I can see fresh snow on the mountains down to about the 8000ft mark. Its in the high 40F's outside the house, definitely going to hard freeze tonight. I better unhook hoses and get ready for it this afternoon.
Seems like our fall's are getting too short, summer and winter too long. I enjoy winter though, so its not that big of a deal.

Apparently they had some healthy snow falls down south a few days ago, and I was about 300 km south of Sydney on the coast and it was damn cold…freezing in fact. The winds were high, strong enough to blow a dog off a chain, and the seas were extremely rough with waves I reckon approaching 5m on one beach. And of course I forgot to put a jumper or jacket into my bag. Luckily I had an umbrella when it started raining, although it wasn’t much use when pushing my brother in his wheelchair.
Weather is certainly a little odd this year. Maybe it has something to do with Magnetic North moving to the west. There has even been talk that the poles may even invert and switch ends.
