I went out to my grandson’s 25th birthday bash at a local nightclub here in Brisbane. Long story short, I’ve woken up this morning with a headache that would kill a brown dog. Confused Mad
Now I know what everyone is thinking…aha, someone had too much to drink. Not so, I had 4 light beers (each only 330ml - 11.15 oz) over the space of 3 and a half hours. The problem was the DJ music…it was so loud you had to shout at one another to be heard. I must be getting old as I’ve never been concerned about loud music before, but this time it was way over the limit. Why do they do this? It’s not as if anyone was dancing (no room for that), and the music was what I call “doof doof”…a solid bass beat that just thumped away all night. Mad Mad

It was a great shindig except for the need to yell in order to be heard, outstanding venue…even has its own small pool that is a metre and a half deep to relax in when it gets hot. All in all, a great night spoiled by the music volume. I’m blaming the loud music for my headache because I drank very little. Don’t think I’ll ever go back there again, and parking cost $55 for 3.5 hrs!

When this headache settles down, I’m doing some reloading to relax.

I feel you Vince, I don't like loud places at all. I've pretty much quit going to movie theaters any more because of the sound volume. The last few times I went I had to wear ear plugs. There is a restaurant that the kids like with great food, but you can't hear yourself think in there so I usually avoid it.

Nah…$50 each way from my place mate, so about half the cost. Also if I’m driving it keeps me from drinking too much ‘cause it hurts something chronic the next day or so.

The more alcohol one drinks the more their senses get dull. Sounds like the light beer was the problem. Very Happy

Scratch Very Happy Looks like I’m gonna have to switch to full strength beer…or Scotch, but only two fingers worth at a time.
