#1: Stoeger m2000 shotgun Author: Longgun, Posted: Wed Oct 14, 2009 1:23 pm ---- My brother and I are thinking of buying the Stoeger m2000's and are getting such mixed reports on them. Some say very light recoil some say kick like a mule . Same on reliability some say can't make em work some say they work dispite the abuse they give em. Would appreciate any input you might have positive or negative to help make our minds up .

I've shot a Benelli and with hi-power 3" loads it kicks pretty good. Stoeger does offer a 13 oz mercury recoil reducer if you need it. The inertial drives stay very clean compared to the gas operated shotguns. However, Stoeger advises you will need a 3-dram, 1-1/8 ounce minimum load to achieve reliable operation. Shooters often complain about reliability without realizing they are not shooting a heavy enough load.
