Our Parrie duck season finished yesterday Sad . I got out for a wander and brought home 3, now I have to go out and pluck them, I will have to wait till May untill I can shoot some more. just finished a lovely tea fresh salmon pan fried with veges n mash pototoes. the salmon was still swimming around at 3:00 so it was fresh alright. Very Happy

Good stuff Elvis. Not a bad thing about the season closing mate...gives the little buggers some privacy so they can get together and produce the next "crop" for harvest mate.

Cheers, Vince

your not wrong about that. the plucking was hard work so they got brested, 3 1/2lb of meat from 3 birds and the hen felt a wee tad hard so I had a wee look and got a fresh duck egg for breakfast via c section. thats a 1st for me but says breeding season is underway.
