The feds recently put in a purchase order of 21 million + rounds of ammo, no wonder we have a shortage on reloading stuff.

The department has 240,000 employees.
21600000 / 240000 = 90 rounds per employee.
Including all the agents from ...
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
U.S. Customs and Border Protection
Federal Emergency Management Agency
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
Transportation Security Administration
United States Coast Guard
National Protection and Programs Directorate
United States Secret Service
And they run the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC).
The volume of their buys they've been doing seems low, considering these 21-22 million rounds are yearly buys. To me any ways.

Add that to the 450 million rounds the DHS has contracted for.

Shot at my local indoor gun range today.
They had for sale boxes of 9mm, and get this, 1 box of 120 rounds of 9mm for $67.00.
Someone is getting rich on this "shortage".
I pay around $6.50 per box of 50 reloading the 9mm.

Thought I'd open this thread to submit to you an e-mail I got today from On Point Firearms (an excerpt actually);
According to our suppliers, ammunition will be severely constrained for the next 8-10 months. Full-capacity magazines are starting to come back into stock, albeit at a slower rate than usual. AR15 and AK47 type rifles are still scarce-- as are imported semi-automatic shotguns like the venerable Saiga and Benelli M4.
