Hello everyone, want to pick you brain about a recent dilemma of mine. Looking to spending some long waited for Cabelas points on a new set of binoculars. For quite some time I've been set on the Vortex Viper HD's. I've looked through some a few times and I really like them. However, Cabelas has the Euro's (non HD) on sale. I have looked through the euros also and I really liked them too, but I have never put the two side by side and since Cabelas is 3+ hrs away from me I dont have the chance to do so in the near future. I will say I think that Vortex seems to be just a tad behind on the light gathering side, but excellent clarity and you cant beat the Warranty. I dont remember how well the Euro's did/didnt gather light (and of course its always hard to tell in the store). Just curious what anyone has to say, thanks for your input!

On a side note, Got the Vortex Viper HD 20-60x80 spotting scope and love it, for anyone considering that I highly recommend it!

I don't have their bino's but i do have a Vortex Stokes Sandpiper spotting scope & it is at least as good as several I've compared that cost double & more the $300 I paid for it.
Vortex replaced it last year after I knocked it off a shooting bench onto concrete & broke the frame holding the eyepiece.

I've often asked and been allowed to take scopes outside the building for viewing !!!

I've never done this at Cabela's but I'd ask and suggest that an employee go with you.
