During the weekend a mate of mine told me about a character I met on the Knife show,
apparently he is on the the ANZMI (ANZ Military Impostor) website. www.anzmi.net/

It is amazing how many wannabees posturing and fibbings about their non exisitent military experience.
Bunch of charlatan that cheapen the sacrifice that the real heroes paid.

And what pissed me most is the fact that when I spoke charlatan a couple of weeks ago in the knife show.
He told me about his service experience etc etc, I thank him for that and bought him a beer as well..
He even have the gall to wear medals and march on ANZAC day with veterans..
May the alcohol rot his liver! Bastard!

At one time is was a federal offense to misrepresent your military service. From what I understand, that law was shot down on the grounds that it violated a person's right to free speech.
My personal opinion.......as a general rule, the real heroes don't feel a need to brag about their military service and accomplishments. The louder they talk, the less I believe.

It still is a Federal Offense in Australia Loke. There have been a few prosecuted over the past couple of years.

I keep a close eye on the ANZMI website, and there is more than one individual who appears on there whose name I know.

I have been part of a similar site for sometime now and you would be surprised how many wannabes, or Walter Mittys as the Poms call them. There are guys regularly identified in the USA, NZ and Australia wearing medals they haven't earned, or genuine vets embellishing their military records, often to gain a financial benefit from Vet Affairs or to simply big note themselves.

Who is this guy Gelan...I'm curious mate.

Actually I know the bloke from another forum in in the past.
Never met him yet till the show.
Well, I have been to Timor in my young misguided time, and "may" have helped in sowing some of unholy crap.
Those things were heavy in my mind for decades past.. anyone that remove those is doing me great favor..
The charlatan claim that he is part of the team that do mine removals there .. apparently not..

His deception is much further than that.
If you are on facebook, check out his name and posting.
you would see a lot of people is calling him out for the "genuine" Aussie made (by himself) knives that he sold and now found out that they are imports from Pakistan and China.
Well I also call him out there.

OK, I remember reading about this guy now...a real jerk off. He was in the Battalion the same time as my brother, so I will ask him if he knows anything about him. I was in the same barracks at the same time, but a different Battalion.

Jeez I hate Fakes! Both the medals and the wearers……
Theres plenty of us out there that earn our medals the hard way and theres no way in hell I'd ever buy one just to make myself look "cool".
Ive got a NZ Police Long Service Good conduct medal with 2 stars; Medal presented at 14 years then every 7 years a new star and band is added for each 7 years stint, in 3 years time I get my 3rd band (28 years). Yeah Ive seen Police Merit awards Bronze, silver and Gold for sale but theres no way id ever wear one without earning it!
