Butt kicking contest...nah, not for me, I’ll leave that up to my brother now that his leg amputation has settled down nicely.

I’d like to say that my knee has settled down, but unfortunately it hasn’t. It’s 8 weeks tomorrow since I had the knee replacement operation, and thankfully 99% of the associated pain has gone, which is great. However, there is something not quite right in the right hand side of the knee. Things are very tight, and 10 to 15 minutes of standing and moving about results in the knee becoming inflamed, tighter and rather painful. Also, a move the wrong way results in intense pain through the right hand side of the knee and down into my shin that persists for about an hour.

I’ve been back to see the surgeon and he had x-rays, ultra-sounds and blood tests done to rule out any deep infection, but I’ve yet to hear any results. He suggested there might even be a need to readmit me to hospital so he can have a look inside my knee. The surgeon suggested that I may have been overdoing the exercises and walking, so I’ve had to cut right down on those. Soooo, basically I spend my day vegetating, sitting in front of tv, going through Netflix and turning into a couch potato...which annoys the bejesus outa me. I have things I want to do, like go to the range, finish off the rifle mounts for my quad bike and look at getting out to do some hunting. But until such time as the surgeon comes up with an answer to the problem, I’m sorta stuck.

Yup...but I thought I’d let you know what the current results are if my op mate. I wouldn’t be able to walk from your back door up to the stable now without it giving me hell, and as for walking back down...no way...that’s even worse.

I’m not happy with the current situation and I’m honestly wishing I’d never had it done.

robovinny.....maybe you need to find the grease nipple and give it some attention....giving nipples my attention always makes me feel better Mate.
