wont be headspace....headspaces off rim....COULD be overall case size, which your neck size will fix .... a necksized case will be slightly larger in volume as body of case hasnt been squished back down to SAAMI spec.
one thing about the hornet...you get one heck of a lot of loads per pound of powder....a very real thing to be pleased about in these times of short supply....I see post in other pub from Steves wholesale, saying 40 ft container of components now not due untill 2022.....there will be a LOT of 6.5CM guys without ammunition soon...even gunworks are down to last 2 lots of projectiles...120grn TTSX and 100grn tnt and then 1 packet per customer if you lucky enough to get in while they still have them.

The head space could be out tho couldn't it? Im thinking that it could be using the taper and slight shoulder on the fireformed brass to head space off holding the case against the bolt face. What else would make the primers push out on the factory rounds?

I Know the 6.5 stuff is just about non existant now. All the cream puff shooters will be spewing good to own a 243 theres still a bit of 6mm stuff around. Havnt been on that other place for a month or 2 now.

sounds like you are on right track....partial length resize will do same thing,EG leave case body as long as rifle likes it...guys with SMLE have been resizing like this for years to get 4-5 fireings before brass is stuffed in grossly oversized chambers...your hornet should do MUCH better than that being such low pressure round.

been playing with the hornet for quite some time now its a round you either love or hate when trying to extract a high level of accuracy out of it I know plenty of people that have given up on it not realizing its sensitive to the most minor of changes..

You’re on the right track northdude. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will “trip over” the sweet load that will provide exactly what you are looking for. As I mentioned earlier, if you know someone with some AR2205, give it a try mate.

IMHO, the thing that bottered me most with the .22 Hornet was how sensitive it was for (little) changes in primers, things I never noticed before with other calibers (I don't do anything in .17 - except air - but I do almost everything else from .22 H to .375 H&H Magnum. It stopped there because the barrel in 458 Win Mag is still laying around since that rifle got an extra heavy barrel in 7 mm Rem Mag... and I love the .375 more)

Its not a very forgiving little fella. I guess that's what I like about it. Other calibers you can usually get away with near enough but not this one...

Email pics to Elvis or me and we can post them for you mate.

Basically, put your pics into the folder of your choice on your computer. Resize the pics to be below 750 mb (I find under 100mb is a good size) using a free pic sizer readily available off the net. Have a look under where you write your blurb, and you will see a section Add an Attachment. Beside Filename you will see, in BLUE, Choose File. When you click on that it will take you back to your file listing (Explorer) on your computer. Find your pic file and double click it…all done. If you want to put more pics on, look to the right of the File Comment box and you will see Add Attachment…click on that then using the above, load another pic. If your pic is too big, but under 750mb so it will load, it will need to be reduced in capacity to make it smaller using the pic resizer. Note that you won’t see any pics until you Submit your post then they will appear after your story.
Give me a yell if you have any problems.

I found easiest way to do photos is to set up one camera to postcard size...and use that one for computer stuff.
