Once upon a time... I was installing three new machines at a customer's factory. First one blew up when we turned the power on. Not wired right. Corrected that on the second machine. Turned on the power to the second machine and it blew up. Not wired right, but in a different part of the machine. Crawled all over the third machine, checking and correcting ALL of the wiring. Looked good. With great trepidation I turned on the power... BANG! But no smoke? Then I heard laughter. The customer's operator who was helping us had slammed a window closed when I threw the switch. I will admit that she became one of my favorite customers after that.

By the way, I had a LONG, not friendly, talk with the Production Manager when I got back to the office.

screwed up ball of stretch wrap,chucked under wheels of forklift...sound eggzachary the same as running over a wooden pallet....
many a tin wall has been booted when truck is reversing nearby....
