I have some once fired Hornady cases that were given to me, 7mm-08, and it seems to be fairly uniform in weight case to case. I can't say its any better than Rem or Winchester cases but I'm not knocking Hornady either. My experince with Hornady is only with one caliber so who is to judge?
99% of my cases are Winchester now and I usually buy 500 of the same lot at a time. I don't shoot benchrest so I don't see the need to squeeze out the extra accuracy gained by using Lapua or Norma. I just don't need them for hunting and that's my 'thang'.

I see from the Sinclair catalog Hornady and Nosler both are making rifle brass, and calling it "precision brass." They're starting to do what Norma and Lapua have been doing for years now. They're striving for uniformity of weight and dimension in their brass and also drilling the primer pockets instead of punching them out. Naturally it costs a bit more, but at least we're geting decent cases. American made brass has been pitiful for some years now. It's good to see someone is trying to correct that. Best wishes.

I was wondering. Just how much will precission brass improve a Browning A-Bolt used for hunting? Is it worth the effort to buy this brass or is Winchester, Remington, Federal and PMC that is carefully prepared just as good...It is free, you know. All of my brass is once fired factory brass.

I really havent noticed 1 type of brass is any more accurate than another. The only difference is how hard or soft it has been and how much trimming it requires over time as the brass is reused.

DallanC...That's about what I had figured. I get what I figure is excellent results from my "cheap" brass in both of my rifles. I just have to take the time to do a good job of reloading and pay attention to detail.

By the by...I attempted to send you an e-mail and I must not have paid attention to detail and it went off into space. However I would like to put my avitar on here if I could figure out how to do it (I'm gettin' mighty tired of that funny ? face). I have it on my mail box at this time....
