Some states allow it as far as I know, other states have it banned like carrying in goverment buildings and postal offices isn't allowed.

Strange question Kauko.
I suppose if I was legally carrying with a CCW I would have the firearm secured in the appropriate place. I don't see a problem with having a firearm in my possession in a church, but additionally I don't see the need to have one with me. I don't see that it is blasphemous or wrong to take a firearm into church...I just don't think that it is necessary.
If I knew that I was going to church I wouldn't take a firearm with me. If I couldn't secure it before entering the church it would stay at home, orsecured in the vehicle if it was legal to do so.

Vince,
What if you were visiting Barack Osama's church?

Vince,
Just a few months ago there was a couple of shootings when some wacko decided to shoot people going to church in the same day in Colorado. If that doesn't show you why you should be armed I dont know what would.

I have carried a gun in church before but not in Ohio. In Ohio, you have to have the permission of the church to legally carry a concealed weapon there. Since my church has a long pacifist tradition, I doubt permission would be forthcoming.

AS a CHL instructor in Texas I have asked several pastors about this issue and the have told me that it was a matter of time for someone would be stupid. One of the pastor even carries his during services. His statement was that he be darned that someone would take away some of his flock. He and God would deal with this later.

If it's stainless steel I'd take it in the shower.

K.W. Are your citizens being attacked in the streets and in your homes by unsavory persons? Have you had a school shooting or a church shooting? Is Finland crime free? Does Finland even allow concealed carry?
No problem here. I don't like saunas. And swimming pools have too many people pissing in them to suit me. I keep a handgun next to my bed (so does my wife) and I carry in church (with or without the minister's permission). And I don't give my money to those that do not support my 2nd Amendment rights...I am not a Subject (I don't have a king/queen)...And as a human I deserve/reserve the right to defend myself, family, property and friends. "I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy"/"When danger is seconds away. A cop is minutes away".
Granted...We don't have very good choices for our presedential candidates this time around, but at least we have a choice of the better of two evils...

I don't carry in Church.
Normally, while in Church I have the Family with me, so if anything happens, I'll just sic Hope and the Wife on them.
They are good---real good---one gets the hamstring, while the other goes for the throat.
I do carry while out in the woods, either fishing or hunting.
I just purchased a Kel Tec PF 9, 9mm, which is much thinner than my Smith Model 36, so I expect to carry more, but NOT in Church.
I do feel safe in my Church during Mass, but I wouldn't hesitate for one second to carry if I felt otherwise.
I could take out the survivors after the Women folk took care of the first wave.
