The house is voting on a cap & trade bill Friday. It is supposed to be the largest tax increase in history! This is some kind of energy bill that will not only raise taxes but dramatically raise all fuel costs. I don't have the bill number or more details at this time.
PLEASE CALL YOUR REP. TO DEMAND THEY VOTE AGAINST IT!

Not only did those sneaky b**tards get that through, they tacked on 300 pages at the last minute and didn't allow any repubs to even read it before putting it to a vote.
Nice to see what "bipartisan" means to the current regime.

HR 2454 and HR 2998 are clean energy and security acts. Open Congress has a free web site were you can read, comment, and vote on the bills. Many Congressmen pay attention to this site! www.opencongress.org/

If the 8 Republicans that voted "aye" and the 2 that abstained (which I have even less respect for [if that's possible]) had the character that 44 Dem's showed, it would have been defeated.
3 of the 8 were from the great state of NJ. Aren't I lucky? Seems even the occasional Republican elected here seem to be more left wing than at least 44 Democrats.

They slipped that thing in at 3:09 in the AM. Then folded their arms and sat back on their heels whatching the minority whip foam at the mouth.
Bohner got it and ran it ragged and took over an hour blasting holes in it after he was yelided two minutes. The Dem's were crying like little girls.
I'm so fried from trying to keep up with the swelling bureaucracy.....it's like the Blob and it's gettng bigger and more all consuming every day.
They will have a lock on congress very soon and then.....
Tune into C-SPAN for some truly mind numbing, and enlightening discussoins.

You gotta think these folks are brain dead. They won't follow the most basic financial principles we have to follow in order to pay our bills.
Basic rule of thumb: If you have to buy it right now without time to think or look it over more carefully, walk away.
Our elected officials get a bill that stinks to start with, have over 300 pages added in the wee hours of the morning with no time to have them examined say what the heck. "We'll be sending the bill to the tax payers anyway. They always seem to have more money."

Dem.'s do what they do. As I said earlier, if the 10 republicans held the line it would have been defeated and 3 of them are here in nj. They're the ones I blame the most.
