My prayers to you and your family Hoffy.
Have a drink for me in honour of your Da...any one of a Tullamore Dew, Jamesons Irish Whisky, a Guiness...or a couple of each mate.
May his soul Rest In Peace and he be forever remembered with honour and love.
Cheers, Vince

Here's to your Dad
Hope he lived as long as he wanted and never wanted as long as he lived.

Thanks everyone for all of the kind words. I really appreciate it. He lived to be 84. He said that he felt tired one day and wanted to lay down for a nap and that's when the good Lord decided to take him, resting in peace.
He was an Army Air Corps, WW2 Veteran. He landed in Okinawa just days before the Japanese surrendered so he didn't see any action.
He is going to receive a Full Honors Military Burial monday.
