good to hear you are getting back in the saddle, just take it easy and listen when your body says enough.

It went great, weather was perfect. low80's rode into a beautiful sunset then turned around and made it home with less then an hour total trip. I might have gone a little faster then I should, but how would you fly if they opened the door on your cage? Everything "feels different". Can't really say how kinda like sitting on a seam that wasn't there before in my pants.

Yeh last time I got run over it mashed my rt leg pretty good, most of it's jello, more looks the part than anything. I've made adjustments, you will too. I was suprised how much I got back for how much I lost. Seriously man, cyclists have such deep fitness they passively recover so much faster and fuller than a lot of other injured persons. Yeh, I feel it, but- cycling keeps me walking, it's just so darn good for busted up old bones.
Slow and steady, over-doing it's worse than under-doing it. I'll be lookin' for ya off the front soon Mr. Man!

WOW! What a month, I have been training like a man possesed. Nothing else mattered just the pedal power. I have been riding everytime I felt recovered from the last, constantly building distances. Got a week out from the ms150 where I planned on doing back to back centuries before the pelvic fracture (June) now I felt like I could finish the 86 miles out Sat and 86 miles back Sun. So I took my bike by the shop I do Business at. Queen City Cycles, Springfield, MO. And asked for a once over to true wheels check chain etc. They found a broken seat stay coming out of the left lug of the seat post lug. Dang, my frame is under warranty but now we are 4 days out and I don't have a spare bike. I asked them if it would make it and they wouldn't suggest I try. Owner comes out and hands me a "loaner bike" right after he takes the price tag off. Miles (the owner) fits it to me and that should do it. "What!??" O.k. they take my seat and pedals and put them on a 2013 MASI Evolutione. Their 105 gruppo carbon. He says ride it if you can before tomorrow and we'll do final adjustments. WOW! So I am riding the ms150 on a new bike? I did the century route the first day 106 miles and rode the regular route 86 miles the second day. Now I am trying to decide whether to apply the credit on my frame to a carbon bike or swap out even for another steel. I am constantly suprised by the support I have been given by Queen City Cycles. First a trainer then a Bike! If you ever want to get King of the World treatment stop in and get you ego stroked. You too can be a rock star.

I have the endurance, but now I need to get the speed back and lose about 15 pounds of gut!
