I had no idea this pic even existed until a mate tagged me in it tonight. This is going back to about 1982.

Private Michael Davis haves a sling placed on him by Lance Corporal Vince Parkinson after a fall.

Soldiers from Holsworthy's 5th/7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment on Exercise Tiger Scout. Under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Peter McGuinness, about 500 soldiers are doing two weeks of tactics and firing weapons from rifles to ant-armour missile launchers. Highlight of the exercise is an infantry assault using live ammunition.

Ah, those were the days, jungle greens, gp boots, m16 /SLR's , moustache's, good body joints and no gray hair.

Great pic! It's amazing what you can find on the internet. I found a photo of Dad and his pilot in cold weather gear, standing next to a B-26. Unfortunately it wouldn't let me copy the image and the owner never responded to my requests.

my last name is Davis and first name.....yip you guessed it Michael

had slings put on my arms by some lovely ladies....none had quite as big of moustauch Scratch

well not as bushy any way.

Now that's just downright scary mate...but they do say we all have a twin somewhere out there, even if only in name.

There are a bunch of guys out there that share my name... but I never come up when I do a search... I guess I am either not important or just completely off the radar.
