New here and want to use the Pointblank Program to keep track of my loading data.

Never having created a excel spreadsheet. I am also new to reloading, but having some success.

My question is that there are new powders and bullets that are not in the database and I want to know how to add those. I think I'm suppose to keep them in the same folder as the rest of the files that were created when the program set up the first time. If there was a tutorial or something I would have read it as I'm not wanting to be spoon-feed, but I need some help to get going.

Thank you in advanced.-Josh

You can copy the original database and rename it then add your new information properly formatted to your new database. It has been a long time since I have done it so for instructions you will have to wait for DallanC or someone with more current knowledge to help you.

Aah...Nobody's "spoon fed" around here. You will earn every tid-bit you get by contributing.

Most on here are handloaders and will be more then happy to add to your knowledge.

Now pull up a stump to the fire, grab one of Vince's beers and join right in.

Welcome to this fine site.

There are just so many components coming onto and off of the market, its really hard to keep up. We had a forum member here, fantastic gentleman named Popgun, and he spent alot of time keeping lists updated. Sadly he passed away quite a few years ago.

Originally, I had the idea to have the software upload new components, and update the default data that way.

There was so much churn of data it became a mess. I keep the current components files, update them occasionally when people send me preformatted data etc etc

Otherwise, I created the ability for users to make addendum's to the main data files with the "_user" files. Simply remove the sample prefix and edit it however you want. The data within will show up in point blank.

If you have mroe questions on it hollar. I'm at work and oddly, my company limits gun websites so I'm limited in my responding (at work).
