Lucky (not), we aint allowed to put things in our pants in Oz..

That would normally be my preference too, but with my 1911s weighing in at 47 ounces loaded (8 + 1) and my Kahr weighing 27 ounces loaded (7 + 1 with modified magazines) at about half the overall size, I just got tired of carrying that weight and bulk. Even my Commander-size 1911 weighs in at 45 ounces loaded.

Aah...Let me rephrase that. That should read "year around".

The photo is of a Kimber UCC II. It weights 25 oz. empty. Holds 7 + 1 and is a .45 ACP.

Hmmm...25 ounces empty? I just may have to look into that. Loaded magazine shouldn't add too much....
