Yes, nice group but it still looks like a miss except for maybe minute of elk. .

Tip- when loosing on deer? Aim low. They always jump the string and duck to load their legs before bolting.

Love that trad bow set up - I'm going to have to take a serious look at that - the compound bow is easy to master.

Thanks Radar!!

Giver a go!

Start with a draw weight of about 20-25#. Get the "form" down (book- Guide to the Longbow by Brian Sorrels has helped me!), then go for accuracy, then up in weigh if you like. It's a process. I'm a student of it. It's easy to flub it. It's AWESOME when one fly's as intended- you can just "feel" it the second the string releases- even before the arrow gets there, you know it's smoked. Total light bulb moment back up by results on the target. Even more better when you made the stuff. Just like reloading! Razz Cool Very Happy

Also- taking all my strings in today to my local shop about 20 miles from here. The serving is too thick for the Easton Super Nock I have on everything. Harder to find non-FF strings with servings under .100" and my nocks are way too tight , the servings arent breaking in as anticipated, causing accuracy issues. So- down the hill to the local guy for some custom string tuning.

Who knows....it's a full on Archery shop! Leave the CC behind, right! Shocked

Pfft- should have done this to begin with and save some fuel. Called Lancaster Archery Supply where I got the strings.

They are reserving some new strings to my spec lentgh and nock throat diameter, and sending them out ASAP. No more "zingers" (watching a scratch made, tuned arrow carom off the top of the butt and go WAAAAY over there for lack of a good reason is a sinking feeling) or WAG's (wild a** groups)!

THAT WAS EASY!

3Rivers and Lancaster have some pretty awesome tech's and customer service. They even have old school doods that speak "primitive!". Wow!

Pretty rare these days. Props to them!
