The old system allowed you to enter the Comparator OAL value, the new one doesn't have that.

I use the Ogive number in all my loads.

I added a field for Comparator COL now in the load menu. Its pushed up so just re-run the PBPatcher.exe program

Thanks for the addition, but.....

The update kills the database.xml

(Make sure you have a database backup first!!)


Steps i took to get he database.xml to work.

1) Backup Database.xml (copy in other location)
2) Run PBPatcher.exe
3) Opened PointBlank.exe
4) All Guns were there but the loads were not.
5) I quit the program.

6) deleted the database.xml file
7) Opened the backup database.xml file in a text editor
Added (to all entries)
<CompCOL>
</CompCOL>
after </COL>

9) Saved file. Placed in the folder with PointBlank.exe, ran program, all works now.

This is a big problem for other people that might not know how to do this and all there loads vanish!

Crazy. I tested this heavily last night, did some test downloads and it worked for me... but today, I tested it at work on another computer and it does have a problem.

Ok for the moment I disabled the auto update. I will get a fix for this asap... and I will make a change to the patcher to backup the database when it goes to patch.

But for the countless others that use your program that have everything all in one place and may not backup as much as me.

Ok so I pushed up a new version with 2 changes.

#1, it correctly parses in an old database.xml file that doesnt have the CompCOL field. This allows full loading of the existing database.

#2, I updated the patcher so that if it detects a new version of PointBlank.exe, it makes a copy of the old database... just in case we ever get a similar bug. I absolutely dont want anyone to loose any data.

I will run more tests later when I get time but my preliminary tests loaded an old database properly.

Just an update, I ran the pb update and had no problems on win 7 64bit.
