Mmmm…10.45AM, the day after the Wedding Reception…I suppose I should get out of bed…my head hurts. I was drinking a boutique beer from Stone & Wood…far too easy to consume. Most importantly, a good time was had by all.

PACIFIC ALE BOTTLES
THE ORIGINAL

Inspired by our home on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, we brew our golden hazy Pacific Ale with all Australian barley, wheat and Galaxy hops from Tasmania, which give the beer its big tropical fruit aromas and flavours and refreshment. This is what we’ve long called ‘Byron Bay in a bottle’. Also available in 375mL Pacific Ale Cans.

Australian Pale Ale, 4.4% ABV, Year round

INGREDIENTS
Malt, Water, Hops (Galaxy), Yeast

CHARACTERISTICS
Passionfruit, citrus, tropical fruit aromas

ONE-TIME
24 X 330ML BOTTLES
$80.99

Sorry mate…but it’s 10am somewhere, so pubs are open…time to enjoy a beer or a whisky…I’m sure Deb would be happy to join you sitting out on your front porch.

Vince, I don't want to offend you, but you call that beer? Even a simple pils has 5 % alcohol in it...

and even then... an old farmer told me once: "Beer is stupid. You drink a bucket and you only have to visit the toilet more often to p..."

Remember: halve drunk is a waste of money... Smile

Alcohol content is controlled, to a certain extent, by the Government. A very Light Beer is 2.2% (very few drink it), Mid Strength Beer is 3.5% (most people who have to drive will only have one or two schooners - 15oz each) and full strength beer is 4.4%-4.8%. Anything over that is classed as strong beer and whilst available, it is expensive and usually imported. I used to buy Trappist Quadrupel Beer at 10% alcohol, but it became too expensive.

The problems caused by drink drivers is horrendous, to the point where they reduced the alcohol limit for drivers from .08 to .05 and every Police car carries alcohol testing gear.

Back on the road today, leaving in around 45 minutes, to drive about halfway home…spending the night in Rockhampton, then home tomorrow. Works out at about 7-8 hours driving each day.
