I gotta ask you Crackshot.....how does that BSA hold up???
When they were first getting popular 5 maybe 6 years ago, 7 out of 10 were returned (or tried to be) to the store i worked at. I know since then, they were said to be of a better quality, but i thought i'd ask anyway. Cool

For the Auto shooters, do your respective states limit the number of rounds you can carry in the gun? South Dakota only allows 6 rounds to be held in the gun. Magazines with capacity limitations are required.

One in the tube and 5 in the magazine.

So far its held up alright, I would not put it on anything that kicked any harder though. It is the second one, this one has lasted longer than the last.
I had one on my 50ae and it lasted 2 shots and the front lense(the one that reflects the dot) broke in half.(BSA warrentied it though)

Longwalker:

Michigan law for rifle and shotgun it's 6 and for handgun it's 9, both in total amounts (not +1) if i'm not mistaken.

Crackshot:

That's about what was the problems back then too....However yeah, they do good on warranties.

Yep, 9 rounds max! for my G-20 I bought an extra 10 round mag and screwed a screw in the bottom of it through the base plate, the lenght of the screw limits the followers downward travel, and the local C.O. ok'ed it.

Wait a minute, then do you know......is the 9 round law extended to "actual" holding capacity of the mag? Meaning you need a plug (screw) to "limit" your capacity to 8 + 1?

Over all, chamber included! he said(the CO) there had to be a physical block in the mag to limit the capacity, Semi permanent,( not easily removed with out tools)
Other wise every one would thumb out a few shells into there pocket when the CO came walking up, unless he surprised them.
I wish Glock would make an 8 round mag for there G-20 for the hunters in states where you are limited, shoot! Make them for each state with there different limits.(not very practical I know)

We may not have a lot of game up here in Cow-hampshire (live free or die) but at least we don't some of your restrictions. Handguns are defined as: 357 mag., 10mm auto, 41 rem, 44 mag, 45 lc, or 480 ruger. There are no comments/rules about magazine capacity except semi-auto rifles can not have more than 5 round capacity magazine. yea, I know alot of calibers were left out so we do live with that.

Crackshot,

I do understand, however, how many hunters do you know that use a G20 or a modular frame 1911 that plug their mags? I've encountered quite a few over the years, and even though it's "law" i would challenge the citation (if i ever got one) for being (and for lack of a better term) ludicrous and pretentious. Mad
Rest assured though, i won't drill, tap, or plug my mags, unless it's a factory item included with my firearm.

Sorry for the rant. But eventhough i may not agree with this supposed law, i do follow every firearm law, in the woods and the street!

I don't really know about Glocks, but my Colt Mags come apart very easily. Here in SD. you need to have a limitation in the mag. This means a plug.

I have got to believe you can take you Glock mags apart for cleaning, right ? Install a plug and you are perfectly legal.

I just found it to be easyer at the time to put a screw in the base pad of a cheap extra mag I purchased from some place.Quite often I dont bother to grab that mag unless I'm going to state land. I dont know of any deer standing for 10 rounds of 10mm (or anything else ) being sent there way.
