we are on the move AGAIN!!!!
The wife and I have found a nice new house to rent in the countryside. its 10 kms from where I work so I will get the mountain bike out and get rid of the beer pot/spare tyre Ive been growing lately. Why is this in the waterfowl section??? there is a small creek 50 yrds from the house and a pond 75yrds the other way so hopefully the dog maybe able to retrieve the real thing without leaving the section. there is a large field of maize growing just down the road so the chance of bagging a quacker or two look great. its also only 14kms from a deer/thar/chamious/pig hunting spot and is within 60kms of my usual hunting area. the kids catch a bus to school just 300 yrds up the road so man oh man am I looking forward to shifting. I will take some pictures as soon as I get out there and get some time. the lawn is HUGE so there is plenty of room for you fellas/fellesses to drop in for a cuppa and park on the lawn overnight on the way for a hunt. it took me 2.5hrs to mow the lawns!!!

Sheep can help you, you know... Smile

Great for you when you can improve yourself. I'm not such a moving guy, still hoping to stay in my village till death does us part and even then I'll try to be of some help for trees to grow or game to feed...

Not me...I'm staying out of it this time...

Being from Oregon (Coos Bay) I am well aware of the old proverb...

Lucky thing you.
Hope you have a long happy time there.
A tip on mowing the lawn.
Get a mower with a small tank. Fill it up. Start at the house.
When empty, find a tree to park it under.
Repeat when necessary.

What is the best time of year for a visit?

Psssst!! Bushy....ole proverb? LIke never let an old sheep get the better hand? No not really a proverb. Ok how about An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep. Or maybe Without a shepherd, sheep are not a flock (that could be re-worded to say something else for sure). Howzabout The sheep has no choice when in the jaws of the wolf. Best one yet is It is the part of a good shepherd to shear his flock, not to skin it. Very valuable to sheep persons everywhere. Let's see.....Oregon sheep are gettin rained on all the time....a wet wooly sheep can be dried in front of a ......naw....a tourist in Australia sees a sheep tied to a lamp post. What's that? Oh that's the recreation center....not really a proverb either...I give up

april for deer may/june/july for ducks.
A Kiwi An Aussie and a Pom were walking down the road and spotted a sheep with its head stuck in the fence with its rear end facing them.
The Kiwi looked at the poor wee ewe and says" gee I wish that was Rebecca Gibney"
The Aussie looked and says"gee I wish that was Kyle Minouge"
The pom looks at the sheep, looks at the other 2 fellas, looks at the sheep again and says "gee I wish it was dark"

well we are in. my poor wee wifey has done most of the work while Ive been away earning a $ or 2. the place is better than we thought its onlt 3 years old, double glazed and has pink batt insulation in the roof so we sure arent going to be cold. the silage season has hit with a vengence so I havent had time to get out for a hunt... unless you count shooting a hare out the dining room window, and a magpie out the lounge window. YES Suz I did open them first. and NO Vince I didnt use the .270 or 12ga I do respect my neighbours a little, the silenced .22 is leaning in the corner waiting for the next victim to turn up.Its like a giant pantry out here we had hare steaks for lunch ymmmm. the push bike got dusted off about 25-30 minutes to get to work and 30-45 to get home so the pie gut will shrink abit if the nice cold beer doesnt make it grow too much.we are back on dialup internet so posting pictures will take forever to do.

put the old 3x9x40mm nikko stirling on the .22 today, cant find by bore sighter since we shifted so sighted in the old way. took me 16 shots. finding 50 yards of flat level ground was a real chore... I had to walk all the way to the garage and put a wood block for a back stop on the other side of the lawn 50 yards no bother and I still had about 5 yrds behind me. now I wonder if I can get away with patterning the shotty without the wife noticeing??? lol
