Yup made plenty of the tennis cannons but one day my brothers and I decided we needed something bigger. We rode our bikes over to a cousins house because his step-dad drank quite a few of them import beers in the gallon cans. We made a 4 stackeer and let me tell you, starting fluid and hairspray pack one h3ll of a wallop, good thing I didn't stuff anything in the business end. Not saying we didn't try....

I made a tennis ball cannon when I was a kid too. we used the heads off paper matches as propellant (explosive) and it worked ok wit two books of matches so I decided to try 4....
I found out why the pipe was so heavy - it was lead!
I was lucky that there was a BIG boulder between me and that bomb. It broke out most of the windows in the apartment courtyard and I got my bottom side "refreshed".
I can't say where that tennis ball went......... Never saw it.
