Dawgdad, I like the lip pinch persuader, but not being as talented as you, I'm relegated to using an old Burnham Bros. rubber band call. Also quite effective in the same situation, and as you say, its quite nice to have both hands free to shoot.--tr

Just make kissy noises like the old lady likes. Or even suck air in through your teeth like you are trying to get some roast beef out from the gaps. Anything that vaguely resembles a rabbit or rodent noise at that point will keep their interest. It does not have to be real loud either.
they will hear it.
