Just don't understand that

Neither can I Tiks...a small poison bait becomes a big bait when consumed by a large animal...not to mention that poison is a cruel death as well.

I had an "animal lover" tell me that shooting groundhogs was cruel. When I asked her how she suggested getting rid of them she said to feed them chewing gum, still in the wrapper, because that would block their intestines and they'd eventually die... !?!?!?!? Obviously these people are insane.

that person needs to be steralised quick smart to ensure the dumb gene doesnt go any further Mad I sure would love to feed them that kind of medicine Mad
anyone who has seen a much loved dog die from poisoning and not be able to do a thing to help will never go near it again.
I just hate the plurry stuff Mad

Actually NJ thought about doing this to the black bears, animal rights groups wanted to trap and sterilize all male black bears and than release them. Sad

Bugger...and here I am thinking I am ahead of my time and come up with a moronic idea. Seems I have pegged the tree huggers perfectly.

dare I say it but the system of steralizing the biggest male doesnt work!!
we had wild cattle on our home farm and they were mostly a red devon type. they would all calve within a month and did so for years....
well our pig dog got under the backend of a bull one day and had a good chewing session(I know cause I was up a tree watching only being about 10 it was the safe place to be while Dad was trying to get the bull to head into fenced land) well he got away that day and grew to be the top bull in the scrub who had the cows etc etc funny thing is the calves were all sorts of colours and were calved over a much longer time. the big fella was shooting blanks and it was only when another bull got to have a go that the cows concieved. we know it was happening as hereford and friesians were popping out!!
so the steralise the lead male just brought about genetic selection in reverse.
now 7 years later I was in the creek with the dogs giving the bull a hiding and Dad was up on the back of the truck out of harms way, we got him in and off to the works that time.

Vince, I think you've got the hang of their "thinking". However, if we tried that we'd have the same amount of PDs running around, the only difference would be that the males would be really tired...
